Khandala is among the hottest hill stations in India, which is positioned in the Western Ghats in Maharashtra.

Duke's Nostril:


The peak Duke's Nostril is a well-known tourist spot amongst climbing lovers and presents a panoramic view of Khandala. This peak has been named after the Duke of Wellington and his standard full-nose. If noticed rigorously, the height seems much like the pointed nose of the Duke in a reclining position. Duke's Nostril is 27 km and 12 Km away from Khandala and Pune respectively.

Karla Cave:


The Karla and Bhaja Caves are often known as the temple for the Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu (C.K.P) and fisher communities and are the finest examples of Buddhist artistry. Karla cave belongs to the 2nd century B.C. and well-known for delicate stone carvings, it's also the most important amongst the Chaitya caves. The doorway to the massive Chaitya griha is designed like a Peepal leaf.

Bhaja Caves:


The Bhaja cave is a collective group of 18 caves, and it is positioned at a distance of 12 kilometers from Lonavla in Maharashtra. These 18 caves have been built through the regime of the Mauryan's in the 2nd century B.C. These caves are one of the leading examples of fine illustrations belonging to the early Theravadas phase of Buddhism. The Bhaja cave is near and just like Karla Cave.

Lohgad Fort:


The Lohgad Fort belongs to a Chhatrapati Shivaji's era and it was used to maintain prisoners. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj gained this fort in the battle of 1670. It is a acknowledged construction and well-known for its four walls that are still in an unbroken state, which provides you the thought of the glory of outdated times.

Kune Falls:


It is one of the top most vacationer spots in Khandala, and located centrally inside the Khandala and Lonavala valley. The Kune Falls is surrounded by copious green vegetation. Right here the water falls down from a height of approximately 100 ft or extra which looks superb and attracts numerous vacationers each year.
